Email and phone validation
Email addresses are checked for correct formatting, with a domain check confirming the address can actually receive mail, so typos and dead domains are caught before they bounce. Phone numbers are parsed, validated against country-specific rules, and returned in a standardized format. Use standalone or alongside individual verification.
Deduplication support
Data Verify assigns a persistent unique identifier to each individual and address, so teams can flag duplicates and keep records clean over time. Generated by Black Tiger, the identifier stays the same even after a record is deleted from your systems. A customer who closes an account and returns later resolves to the same ID, which makes it a useful signal for fraud prevention.

Here’s what’s behind ours
Address data is sourced exclusively from official national government registries, the most reliable source available. Individual data is sourced from a leading European individual-data provider operating under documented lawful basis under GDPR.
When customers use Data Verify for AML, KYC, and fraud prevention, the processing rests on the cleanest possible footing under GDPR, a legal obligation under Article 6(1)(c). For operations, customer service, and marketing use cases, Data Verify supports customers in meeting their own GDPR obligations.
Article 5(1)(d) requires personal data to be accurate and kept up to date. Every flag, score, and update Data Verify returns moves your records toward that standard by design.
For GDPR expertise, Black Tiger partners with GRCI Law, an independent firm specializing in data protection and privacy. To further strengthen the Data Verify platform, work is underway to obtain ISO 27001 and SOC 2 certifications.
All reference data and customer queries are processed in the EU. No personal data is transferred outside the European Economic Area (EEA).
